Phase 1 – research and discovery

Posted by lisacluett on 22nd November 2008

makes sense to me...This project is kicking off by having a look at what Web 2.0 tools other non-teaching units (like Libraries, clubs, Student Services etc) are using, compiling a toolbox of applications we might use and chatting to everyone possible about the project.

With so many balls in the air a diagram seemed essential.

And it’s worked too – the future is clear and things are happening

..and then there was the wiki

Posted by lisacluett on 18th November 2008

Development of the project wiki really reflected the way I use any new tool -in that one minute I was prowling around thinking of how to get started and the next minute (next day?) it was up and running with embedded video, oodles of content and I was inviting new members to join.  It’s become a bit of an obsession to be honest.  WIth Bloglines keeping me well up to date on all fronts there’s no shortage of content for the wiki.  Want to see? – click away: http://uwa-osj.wikispaces.com/ (should thank Mark Pegrum here for introducing me to wikispaces.com back in the day)

Let’s get this show on the road…

Posted by lisacluett on 18th November 2008

Well it’s time to get this blog started.  The project has been underway for 18 days and it’s been a whirlind already.  This blog will document my perspectives of the Online Student Journey project at UWA – how the training is going, what tools we’re using, how I’m going with selling Web 2.0 to Student Services and of course….what happens when the things go wrong.
